I've been wondering this for 5-10 years now: Why doesn't the UofM sell football jerseys to the general public?
I am not aware any CIS restrictions on licensed football jerseys that would prevent the UofM from selling to the public/students. I understand the argument that only current/former players should be privileged enough to posses such a jersey, but surely if that was the reason for not selling the jerseys then they could make some minor modification to them so people wouldn't be confused. Maybe like stitching 'BISONS' onto the back name panel so that posers can't add their own name.
Maybe we don't have the college-town culture like at the UofS
No demand. I hardly ever see ANYONE at the university wearing Bison clothing - and if they are 99% chance its' one of these two reasons:
1. They are a university athlete (or close friend of one), and either got one for free, or they are trying to bring up support;
2. the U of M bookstore had a good sale on those items.
We might be able to start selling stuff better once the Bombers and Bisons are sharing the same building. Currently, I don't remember seeing anything at all for the Bisons offered at the Bomber store, nor do I see any bomber stuff being sold in the U of M bookstore's clothing area. One could draw on the other, and certainly being in a new stadium won't hurt the Bisons' ticket sales. _________________ The lazier you are today, the more productive you'll be tomorrow.

The past two seasons that I've been back in Canada, I have seen "fan jerseys" (only number available was "07" for the Vanier win) for sale. I found them a bit pricy for me (no, they aren't being unreasonable, I'm just being cheap) at about $70 (though I may certainly be wrong on the price).
Here's hoping that the new stadium brings everbody's game day experience up a few notches (both Bisons and Bombers).
I personally hope that the new stadium will have some of the bells and whistles I've seen in some college stadia, like meeting rooms and easier field access to the locker rooms. _________________ Be seen.
