I'm sure you all know about Larry Johnson and his banning from the Chiefs and the league pending an 'investigation' into his use of the slur f*g. What a joke.

check this out for details.

http://blogs.pitch.com/plog/2009/10/larry_johnson_banned_from_prac.php

Something is very wrong with this society where someone can get into such trouble over a couple of words. Do we not have free speech? To me, there is more hate mongering on the part of the gay/lesbian group mad at him. You can't police my mind.

This is not an anti-gay thread, just anti-mind police.

Your thoughts?

As stupid as I think this whole situation is or how blown out of proportion I feel it was, it was still a remark that is frowned upon.

It's just a shame how many whiny assed babies there are out there.
Just freeking sickening. Go Larry, your ploy to be traded out of one of the jokes of the league seems to be working

Never thought about that. Who could use him? Probably almost everyone. It would be hilarious if he was traded before he got his 75 yards to become the all-time leader for the Chiefs.

Sorry, but I disagree. If Todd Haley used the N word when talking about LJ and his poor play, he wouldn't have a job today. Just because its not hateful to you doesn't mean its not offensive. Frankly, if you called your boss a F****T tomorrow, you wouldn't exactly have a job tomorrow either.

LJ is washed up and has too many miles on his body. The only teams that would consider him are Seattle, and Cleveland. Seattle wouldn't dare because they already have Edge to deal with. Cleveland is a lateral move in terms of talent. If he weasles his way out, I would have a hard time seeing him succeed in a new organization, unless he's been sadbagging the chiefs for the past two years.

He didn't call his boos that though. It was a fan, and a media type. (and not during a press conference)

Same thing. If a fan called LJ a N***** publicly, Larry would be going ballistic. Larry Johnson is a me-type player who just cares about the paycheques.

LJ is a joke...he's had what two good seasons behind a phenomenal o-line in KC, and nothing but mediocrity and injuries since. More to the point ya i think it's ridiculous how people react to this, but I also think in a public forum a person in his standing shouldn't be making comments like this or the ones about his coach. Between this, his past issues (comments and assault charges) than ya I think he deserves to be punished.

Any professional athlete that goes on Twitter and calls his coach a *** is an idiot to the 10th degree and deserves what he gets.

Was it not a fan he called that? Not much better I know, but still, to be possibly fired?

He did it twice and once was in reference to Haley.

The second was in reference to a media person, was it not?
